Theroux the Keyhole by Louis Theroux

Theroux the Keyhole by Louis Theroux

Louis’ Grounded podcasts pretty much kept Nic sane during that first lockdown, and in this book Theroux describes what was going on during that weird time and how he launched his podcast. Nic loves Louis, but Monika’s got a signed copy of this – which she’s not parting with.

Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey

Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey

McConaughey’s book is ostensibly a biography but it is also a highly entertaining adventure story, a comedy, a self-help guide and a candid tale of spiritual and personal discovery. Ryan Holiday called it “an inspiring memoir and how-to from one of the great outlaw philosophers and artists of our time”  – which is good enough for us.

Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown

Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown

In his bestselling book, McKeown makes a compelling argument for achieving more by doing less. We all know less is more, in this book McKeown reminds us of that.

Atomic Habits: An Easy and Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear

Atomic Habits: An Easy and Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear

James Clear does a brilliant job describing much of the neuroscience in habit formation so you can accomplish more by focusing on less. He outlines how just a 1% change in daily habits builds towards success and if you focus on that 1%, the results fall into place. We referenced this book in an earlier blog, and we still think it has so much to offer.
